In shadows' chains, I once did dwell,
While you, in blisful ignorance, did sail,
Your eyes unseeing, blind to my plight,
You held my hand, then dropped it, out of sight.
I thought you'd grasp my broken heart,
But you shat ered it, tearing me apart,
The pain you caused, an abyss so deep,
In darkness' clutches, my soul did weep.
Yet, I'll rise above the blackened sea,
Swim to shore with colors of glee,
No longer bound by your cal ous ways,
I'll bask in joy's radiant blaze.
My happiness, a blinding light,
Will leave you lost in endless night,
You'll scream for help, but I'll be gone,
Freed from your grasp, I'll carry on.
In anger and sorrow, my soul did stir,
But now I soar, my spirit will endure,
With strength and grace, I'll chart my way,
No longer held by your dismay.
So watch me now, as I break free,
The darkness you sowed, I'll no longer see,
For in my heart, a fire will burn,
As I embrace the les ons learned.
I'll rise like a phoenix, reborn from the pain,
With fierce determination, I'll break the chain,
And though you left me, that erred and bruised,
I'll heal my heart, stronger, infused.
For I am more than the pain you've wrought,
In my soul, a symphony of bat les fought,
And from the depths, my spirit will ascend,
An angry yet soulful anthem, I will transcend.
