The government has decided to rename the Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres as 'Ayushman Arogya Mandir' and the Union Ministry has issued a notification letter to the States and Union Territories to implement the re-branding exercise by the end of this year.
The Ministry has asked states to upload photographs of re-branded primary health facilities on the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Center (AB-HWC).
It has been underlined the National Health Mission (NHM) logo is to be retained in the rebranded centers.
The Health Care Delivery is actually heading from illness to wellness with the tagline 'Arogyam Parmam Dhanam'.
The funds required for renaming the existing facilities have been proposed at Rs 3,000 per facility.
Under the Government of India's flagship Ayushman Bharat Yojana, more than 1.6 lakhs AB-HWCs have been successfully established across States and Union Territories over the last 5 years.
AB-HWC aims to provide comprehensive primary healthcare including maternal health and child care. Extending the services of free essential drugs and diagnostic services close to people's homes through AB-HWCs.
Screenings for various symptomatic diseases have been done at these health centers. Also, many wellness sessions have been held at these centers.
