Trio of three Central Government Ministers recommended crop diversification to farmers both in Punjab and Haryana.

The government also gave an assurance to the farmers stating that it would buy pulses, maize and cotton crops at minimum support prices for five years. The government and the farmers have entered into an agreement for the same.

Fourth round of talks were held with the farmers hearing their demands which included a legal guarantee for MSP and were disputing about the Punjab-Haryana border.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry (Pjyush Goyal) along with Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister (Arjun Munda) and Ministry of State for Home Affairs (Nityanand Rai) dealt with the farmers over discussions and talks.

The Minister said that they had positive thoughts and discussions while dealing with the Bhartiya Kisan Mazdoor Union and other farmer leaders. They also held discussions over the trail that has to be followed that was once built by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The new ideas that were discussed were attempting to cater to the interests of the farmers. The members of the farmer's union have suggested some positive recommendations that shall benefit the farmers of Punjab and Haryana and thereby increasing the GDP of the country.

The Minister reveals that the government demands from the farmers for the production of cotton. If any farmer switches to grow cotton, the Cotton Corporation of India will enter into a five-year legal agreement and shall purchase the cotton at MSP.

Innovative and out-of-league ideas are probably going to change the agricultural landscape of the country.

The government in order to improve agricultural marketing shall work on the development of cooperative societies like the National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India (NCCF) and NAFED (National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India) shall lead to the bringing of 'Contract Farming' in the landscape. The government will definitely buy the crops at MSP but quantity of the purchase doesn't has a ceiling.

Suggested crop diversification shall led to the improvement of groundwater reserves and shall prevent the chances of a land becoming barren. Thereby, this would increase the productivity and revenue generation for farmers.

The farmer leaders will require to have a discussion on these government forums and will then let the government know about their future course of action.

The protesting farmers shall stand by their protest for a while and shall heed to the government proposals in the first place.
