The SBI Ladies Club, Hyderabad, undertakes various philanthropic activities from time to time to bring a change in the lives of the underprivileged in society. A change that is somewhere neglected yet is crucially important to be undertaken.
The club, under the leadership of its president Rashmi Sinha, organised a charity programme on Saturday at Government Primary School, Devarakonda Basti, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
They donated three computers, a submersible pump set for a free-flowing water supply, sports materials, shoes, socks, and stationery for students.
The President of the organization believes that the children of today are nothing but the future of tomorrow.
She adds that computers will hold technical utility for students only when they use them to broaden their skills and strategies. Furthermore, they can take the help of the computer system to easily learn and understand their course content.
Tree plantation and activities like that of afforestation have also been in the circle area of the organization.
The school students performed a group song or dance. Headmaster D. Kishore thanked the SBI Ladies Club and assured that the computers and other items, donated to the school, would be put to best use and for the betterment of the students.
Computer facilities can help the students to grasp a better idea about Cyberspace. Many people are progressing in the country with the rise of technological services and the tertiary sector. The tertiary sector has boomed in growth in the country's GDP in the last four decades.
Calling for an inclusive framework which attempts to curb the Digital Divide and calls for the inclusion of everyone on e-based platforms. Increasing connectivity of people, regions, resources, and capital quadrupled the process of globalization in the economy.
Higher education has been emphasized but primary, elementary, and secondary blocks of education can't go a long way without the assistance of computer systems.
Efforts like these help to generate awareness and build innovations within the systems to make the digital space, a more convenient and reliable space for all children.
Initiatives like this here and there testify that the technology isn't good or bad. But it's fairness depends on the person using its services.
