Time and again we hear that we can get anything in our life provided that we take the right effort in the right direction with utmost dedication. Statements like this feel like an utopia. But all this under-confidence goes away when we hear of the journey of this tribal entrepreneur from Gujarat.

Sitaben, a brave tribal woman from Gujarat has actually set a very high pedestal when she showcased her business talents at 'Aadi Mahotsav' at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, Delhi in the presence of our Hon'ble PM.

She says that all it takes is hard work and not necessarily formal education to realise your goals. At the same time, we should also remember about Vajirbhai Kochhadia as an inspirational example of how rural Gujaratis can achieve success with the right skill set.

Sitaben belongs to Saputara in the Dang district of Gujarat. She managed both the family and farm responsibilities. She also managed to take care of her alcoholic husband who later passed away.

The journey of Sitaben from a worker to an enterpreneur is interesting and motivational at the same time. She started her journey very humble. She used to make various millet biscuits, chakri, papad and others, etc. Her products quickly attracted the taste of Gujaratis and are now sold not only in Gujarat but across India.

From Feb 16th to Feb 27th, 2023, Delhi is actually hosting the Aadi Mahotsav celebration where Sitaben passionately displayed her millet biscuits. To her surprise, her products were liked so much that it's sale even didn't stop even with the blink of an eye. Sitaben also had an encounter with the PM of the country amid the programmes of the event going on.

Sitabai recalls her meeting with the PM saying,

'I told him my friends would ask whom I had met in Delhi and he smiled and take a photograph with him' talking about her small business, Sitaben said, 'Now I am able to earn some good amount of money to sustain my family and she is proud of the fact that she is a member of Dangi Adivasi Mahila Khedut Utpadak Producer Company Ltd's Board of Directors.'

Vajirbhai Kochhadia comes from the Bharuch district's Hathakund village, he manufactures a variety of bamboo goods. His entire family members are involved in this same business. He was successful to have sold out bamboo goods worth more than 2 lakhs way back four years ago. With the help of Gujarat Vans Kala Udhyog, they are able to sell their products across India. They also managed to get training to reinvigorate the quality of the goods they produced and thereby increasing it's sale.

These two people from Gujarat have actually come out as successful examples of tribal entrepreneurship. Gujaratis are as it is known for their talents in the business. These people have actually defined what we mean when we say that we must learn to live life just not the way it is. We should experiment. Because you never know what realizations may dawn upon you when you immediately stumble over at some point.
