In a remarkable achievement, twin sisters Sanskruti and Shruti have secured All India Ranks (AIR) 2 and 8, respectively, in the chartered accountancy examination. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results of the CA intermediate and final exams held in November last year on Tuesday (Jan 9).
Sanskruti and Shruti, who cleared both Groups I and II in their first attempt, have been consistent study partners, having excelled academically since childhood. Sanskruti secured the second rank with a score of 599 (74.88 percent) in the CA final examination. Their academic journey started at Mary Immaculate Girls’ High School in Borivali, followed by Narsee Monjee College for junior college, and they graduated from HR College of Commerce and Economics with a B.Com degree in 2022.
The twins, with a passion for numbers and accounts, plan to pursue an MBA. They expressed their intention to work for a couple of years before taking the Common Admission Test (CAT), emphasizing the advantages of having work experience during and after MBA studies.
The Parolia twins attribute their success not only to their dedication but also to their family's support. With their father, brother, and sister-in-law being CAs, the twins had the added benefit of studying the same topics, simplifying doubts, and gaining a mental boost.
Tuesday's achievement holds a special significance for the Parolia family, as both sisters took the final exam for the first time and sat for both groups simultaneously—an uncommon feat in the CA aspirant community. The family has a history of success, with Sanskruti ranking third and Shruti fourth in the country during the intermediate level CA exam.
The proud father, brother, and sister-in-law, all CAs themselves, served as inspirations for the twins. Despite the high expectations at home, the family emphasized the challenging nature of the CA course, encouraging the sisters to give their best with no regrets.
In related news, Jaipur’s Tikendra Singhal secured the third all-India rank in the CA examination. Out of the total 65,294 students who took Group 1, 9.5% cleared it, and for Group 2, 21.6% out of 62,697 students passed. A total of 32,907 students took both groups, with 3,099 successfully clearing them, resulting in 8,650 qualifying as chartered accountants.
Additionally, the ICAI declared the results of the intermediate exam, with Mumbai’s Jay Jimulia claiming the top spot by scoring 691/800. A total of 1.2 lakh students took Group 1, and 16.8% cleared it, while for Group 2, 19.2% out of 93,638 students passed. Both groups were taken by 53,459 students, and 9.7% successfully cleared them.
The achievements of Sanskruti and Shruti underscore the values of perseverance, hard work, and a determined upward trajectory, overcoming challenges with courage and doing justice to the examination.
