Day by day, the achievements of natives of Telugu states abroad are increasing. Recently, we got to know that a student from Telangana is ensuring that the set standards don't dip. Arnav Dharmagadda was recently selected as the US Presidential Scholar for 2023.

In addition to this, he has also been selected for admission to Yale and Harvard, two of the biggest names in the field of education, and has also received the prestigious Jefferson scholarship to study at the University of Virginia. The scholarship shall not only take care of the expenditure for his undergraduate course but also includes a stipend that helps Arnav pay for his attendance.

The purpose of the US Presidential Scholars Program is to recognize and honor some of the most distinguished graduating high school seniors. The US Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona recently announced the selection of Arnav Dharmagadda, who studied at Russell High School in Kentucky.

A press statement issued by the Department of Education said, 'Arnav is one of 161 outstanding American high school seniors who has demonstrated outstanding academic excellence, artistic talents, technical expertise, leadership, citizenship, service and contribution to the school and community.'

This is not for the first time that Arnav has made his father proud. Earlier too, he received perfect scores on the American College Testing which is required for admission to undergraduate schools located in the US and Canada.

Arnav mentions that he organised a visit to the University for a tour, but with all guided tours fully booked, Benjamin Skipper, the director of underground programmes at Jefferson Scholars Foundation took some time out of his busy schedule to guide him and his parents for the new journey.

With the prestige and fame attached, Arnav chooses Harvard University for his UG. Poverty and urban development are his areas of interest and expertise. After opting to major in public policy, Arnav aims to work for the US Congress.

Time and again, India has always maintained it's credibility on the international pedestal. Young Indians can surely direct the whole achievement to even more greater heights.
