Castle of Glass teaches us a lesson of we are broken within the four walls of our certain ideologies. Maybe beyond that, when we see ourselves from a different perspective, we have everything and we are complete in ourselves.
We all are living things and we are held captivated by lives. But grief and sorrow wrapped around us affect us in different ways. The loss and sorrow that we go through keeps us in a whirlwind of sorrow and struggle. The tough times we go through are inevitable. We go around the pages of loss and struggle to overcome grief.
The life can be a rollercoaster ride and one must have the strength to confront the challenges that come their way. The castle of glass built around us represents the vulnerability. When the world slides away beneath our feet, we are left defenceless.
In this path of life, we learn to acknowledge and accept that the emotional pain felt after losing someone cannot be expressed in words, and it can be painful and isolating experience. It leaves us vulnerable and defenceless.
The emotional pain one goes through can get an isolating experience. It’s a narrow path where we usually abide to us.
With a heavy, introspective, visionary kind of voice, I sing,
“Take me down to the riverbed,
Take me down to the fighting end"
It portrays the idea that one need to move past their grief and cleanse themselves of their negative emotions. The river-bend represents a place of healing, a place where one can let go of their pain and start afresh. The need to be whole again portrays the personal battle to overcome the feeling of loss and find a sense of normalcy in life.
The world shows us as broken, incomplete, and unworthy. The various splashes of agony that appear on us which we carry as life of unworthiness for our entire life.
Today I run the battle which has been chosen for me, I stand to fight where everybody wished I would’ve stopped. What looks like destined for me, I will stand for myself. Today I stand for the poison that has left me barren to reveal what strength I have and who I’m.
I go with one more powerful sentence, “Wash the poison from off my skin, show me how to be whole again."
The poison that darkens my light, I want to walk pass by it. Warm me up in the Nova’s glow, then warm me up in the holy place and drop me down to the dream below.
I pray to get washed away from the poison I’m loathed with, the poison that I’ve been splashed, the poison that made it hard for the survival, to overcome and live a life full of pride and happiness, The holy divine happiness is what I want to get bestowed with.
And show me how to be whole again. Drive me through the path where I feel complete in myself again. The sense of being lost coming in full circle with the sense of me being complete once again.
If they say I abide to their words of being weak, I rescue myself from that thought.
I stand for the strength and power and not with the inferiority and feeling lack in oneself if someone makes me feel that.
With the rays of optimism, I fly myself up high, in a silver wing, a wing that takes me up high above the black clouds, to the place that is pure and in the depth of greed and pain, there, I find The Sirens sing their melodies. I fly myself high above to the place where everything blooms, above the black clouds that cloud my view … the clouds that bring tyranny to my life. Loss is a personal journey, and while everyone’s experience may differ, it is crucial that one learns to move forward and heal.
