I am on a personal level, hate crimes. That’s why I avoid News Channel argument sessions and a thorough reading of the newspaper. But how to skip the social media impact on me via such sensitive case information step by step, like they are digging and doing a postmortem of the victim’s soul without their permission, just to earn TRP and certain publicity motives?

I don’t think humanity permits us, at any level, to go into a mishappening in too much detail, since we have nothing to do with the victims or suspects personally.

Social media posts are now experts at playing with mood swings, curiosity, and mind games with viewers. When to post, what to post, and how much to post to keep viewers' minds fully engaged.

Why Social Media Sensationalised Crime Stories:-

Social media transforms passive consumers into active users. An algorithm creates a strengthening cycle by feeding such users content that matches their existing interests, by increasing both engagement and emotional dependence. The success of the true crime media genre reflects humans' curiosity about violence, breaking social norms, and murder. People find it fascinating that day by day, violence, crime, and death are also the oldest human interests of discussion. ‘True crime’ media, which portray all the possible varieties of real crimes ranging from fraud, drug crimes, high-profile heists, and white-collar crimes to violent assault, kidnappings, sex crimes, homicide, or serial killings.

To listen to a stranger’s murder. The popularity of true crime media, especially among women, has become one of the most enduring entertainment trends of the past decade. Research has established that the vast majority of true crime consumers are women, with numbers ranging from 70% up to 93%. The true crime industry seems to be growing year by year, with public surveys suggesting that 50% of Americans enjoy true crime stories. True crime delivers strong emotions like fear, anger, and game mechanics that happen within a planned sequence, helping us manage those feelings productively. All side effects on us, as we become cognitive biases, and repeated exposure to emotionally intense narratives can lead to beliefs that the world is more dangerous than it actually is. Sensationalism remains a powerful force. Emotionally charged content is more memorable and more clickable, often overshadowing more balanced, investigative reporting. When real-world systems feel chaotic, these stories offer a sense of closure, moral clarity, control, and a little escapism. It is an antidote to being understood in more than one way in everyday life.

I am not here to hurt someone's emotions or dignity. I apologise if someone gets hurt by their sentiments after reading my article.

Ketan Murder Case Social Media Trend:-

Recently, the Ketan Murder Case was first believed to be just an accidental case, so no news, and as it turned into a murder mystery, it suddenly blasted social media as it is a high-profile case. Siya’s intention, inhuman behaviour, cowardness, unethical behaviour, or criminal mindset, with a new sensational entry of Chetan. Love triangle concept, arranged marriage vs love marriage. Helplessness of a girl on marriage as she is just 20 years old. Marriage is too soon or forced marriage. All the boys' families got scared now. Most posts make fun of such a sensitive case.

AI-generated videos recreated the death scene with their faces show how unethical it is, and no one is opposing this trend. Why? AI-generated not only ended here via their faces, but some of them are so weird, like those personalities who really hate Siya, they are projecting what her punishment should be according to them, who gave this kind of right to them? Some are looking towards Ketan Soul and delivering the conversation between him and Chitragupt. Is this any kind of joke? Polarising over social media over a murder? When such a post, I saw when we lost Asha Bhosle ji, like bearable thinking that it's a kind of fan feeling, but this case is totally different.

Many of Ketan's anti also within the cycle of this trend, and that agenda is saying Siya did the right thing. It's really good to end someone's life instead of an unwanted arranged marriage. Like really? Such a kind post and wording unconsciously, in other girls’ minds, that it is the right thing to do to skip arranged marriage. In this case, Siya is not involved because she is not posting such a weird mindset post. How easy it becomes to say in such cases, without knowing who killed, who is the killer? Small Influencers who want to become trending or who know the public wants to hear that stuff they often say. Kill Siya too, without wasting time. We want justice. Is life and death becoming a joke on social media for all, or does no one want to think ethically? Without knowing anything, just by watching some posts, many visualise Ketan as an arrogant, rich, male ego, who dominates and wants to overpower his would-be bride's life in every decision. How come? For them to marry, arranging is bad, and to have a love affair without her family's consent is fair? But why? Many say that by favouring Siya, she proved that not all girls are gold diggers or marry men just for their money, but love matters.

Most of the AI-generated content, wow, they knew what lovely conversations Ketan and Siya had at Lohagad Fort, before dropping him, and they got millions of views? The public is really enjoying this trend of killing sensation, which must feel like this now. Even Ketan’s soul is now wondering how popular I have become, and because of my death, Lohagad Fort TRP is at its peak, isn’t it?

Give me a Kit Kat break now.

Yes, during police interrogation, prime accused Siya Goyal reportedly stated that she disliked her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, because he was bald, wore a wig, and stammered.

And after listening to this, trolls got active and created fun over Ketan being bald, and that’s why he got murdered by Siya. But Ketan's family maintains that the hair patch was disclosed before their engagement and cannot justify the murder. So why are such baseless theories going viral?

On one hand, social media says she can’t call off the marriage, she doesn’t want to damage her family's reputation. And on the other hand, she dares to murder someone unconsciously, doesn’t she get goosebumps that if someone knew where her family's reputation goes?

Are these all social media trends, or are they justifying what happened?

Now, no one knows the real selves of Siya, Ketan, and Chetan. Then what is the moral of sensationalising this news? They are not like the SSR-Rhea case, when the public really lost their mind, and many youth committed suicide. SSR hung on the fan, now it’s my turn, many died, can’t forget those scenes ever because of these social media and news nonstop impact on those innocent lives who died.

I seriously go through several sites to find out what the update is. In this case, has she been found guilty, or is something else happening behind the screen of social media?

Who are Ketan, Siya and Chetan:-

Ketan Agarwal was 26 years old, the son of Vishal Agarwal, a construction businessman based in Pimpri-Chinchwad near Pune. His engagement to Siya Goyal took place in February, and the wedding was scheduled for November in Udaipur. The families had booked a palace in Jaipur for ₹17 crore and arranged two private aircraft for guests.

Siya Goyal is Ketan's Fiance. Her family also runs a spice business. Siya has a cake bakery. Middle or higher class, no clue. Not much information about Siya’s family. On 29th June, a confusing or shocking statement from Siya’s mother. Siya couldn’t even pass 12th class and has little interest in studies; she runs her cake bakery. But with a simple home background. She enjoys parties a lot, being a dashing personality.

Chetan Chaudhary, Siya's boyfriend, at 22, is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and is a resident of Kondhwa, Pune. His family runs a wholesale and retail grocery shop named Dhanashree Traders at the Gultekdi Market Yard.

Investigators examined records of 2,004 calls exchanged between Siya Goyal and her lover from January to June this year. The analysis revealed that they spent 238 hours talking to each other over the six months. The two met at a Diwali party in 2025 and began communicating frequently.

Education played an important role in Ketan Agarwal’s life:-

Ketan was known as an ambitious entrepreneur who actively participated in the growth of his family’s real estate business. He was the director and chief marketing officer in his family’s real estate business, Success Group. Friends and family described him as cheerful, energetic, hardworking, and passionate about travel and adventure.

He completed his schooling in Pune. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Symbiosis International University. To gain international exposure and entrepreneurial knowledge, he later pursued a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business in the United States.

Ketan Murder Case So Far:-

Ketan Agarwal’s body was legally processed and examined by forensic teams to aid in the murder inquiry. The exact medical examination and autopsy protocol would have been completed by authorities before any funeral could take place. The body of 26-year-old Pune Realtor ( Real Estate Professional) Ketan Agarwal was found at the bottom of a 400-foot gorge at Lohagad Fort following a brutal, pre-planned murder conspiracy. Rescue teams recovered his body with severe head and limb injuries. At first, the police closed the case as an accidental case, but Ketan’s sister kept questioning about the same incident again and again, with Siya actually trapped by her nervousness and changing statements. So the police have to reopen it and investigate a different angle in this case. After his funeral. Police have presumed that Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal’s death at Lohagad Fort was not from an accidental fall but was presumed to be a result of a murder plot executed by his fiancée.

Siya tried to cover it up as an accident and told the families and police that Ketan had slipped while clicking a photograph. The case was closed as an accidental case. As I mentioned earlier, how it reopened. And no recovery of clicked photos from Ketan’s mobile. She changed her statement when she got thirsty, and he passed the water bottle. He slipped from the cliff. But the Police got the number to which she made more than 2005 calls, and it belongs to Chetan Chaudhary. From the very beginning of the investigation, Siya, the suspect, and now Chetan have entered.

Her brother, Sahil Goyal, now admits, after interrogation, that Siya met Chetan once in some kind of match. In CCTV footage, they also seem to sit together. He also admitted that before engagement in February, she had talked about being uncomfortable with marriage and needed 1 year, as she is not prepared for marriage. Both parents have the same question; they are not at all aware of what happened, as Chetan's angle is something strange for both families.

It's not the first time that Siya and Ketan have visited that fort. As of 31st May, they have already visited and trekked there on a rainy day with slippery soil. Ketan's booked a surprise trip, or it’s both decisions; a contradiction in the source information on 6th June for a pre-wedding shoot in Bali. At the last moment, Ketan’s passport was missing, and it might have been hidden by Siya to avoid that trip. They went to the same fort. A social media post saying it’s a surprise trip from Ketan, and some YouTubers are saying the demand from Siya to visit that again. Earlier, Vishal Agarwal rejected Siya’s family marriage proposal due to the 6-year difference between Siya and Ketan. So that was automatically a good option for Siya to say no, but Siya’s family convinced them.

Police revealed that Chetan also attempted to avoid notice by leaving his mobile phone at his residence rather than carrying it to the fort. He brought his office colleague's mobile with him to communicate with Siya at the fort. Already present at the location before the couple arrived, and on the crime scene, Chetan's hoodie was also found, which he wore during the summer season, as captured in CCTV footage. On 14th June, she tried to push him from the fort, but luckily, he was saved by grasping the bushes, and she afterwards said she pushed him to protect him from a snake. On 17th June, Siya and Chetan met in a coffee shop at Fort for nearly 1 hour. It got captured on CCTV. On 18th June, he was murdered, pushed by Siya or Chetan?

Police have arrested both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary and booked them under Sections 103 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. According to the police, Siya and Chetan went to the fort alone before committing the crime to "rehearse" the murder with a dummy. The two had also prepared and practised their answers to the police if they were caught. Case files revealed that the two had also locked in a "plan C" in case the planned crime had failed. She presumedly signalled Chetan at the fort, who pushed the victim off a cliff. The body was found in the 400-foot-deep gorge. Chaudhary had also taken great care to mask his presence as he followed Goyal and Agarwal on June 18. Police said he deliberately travelled from Pune to Lohagad Fort, a distance of about 90 km, on a scooter instead of a car.

During the murder case of Ketan Agarwal, with investigators now probing whether his fiancée Siya Goyal's lover, Chetan Chaudhary, forced her to kill her would-be husband.

Whether Chetan used their recorded calls or private messages to blackmail Siya and threaten to expose their relationship to the influential Agarwal family if she did not go through with the murder plot. Siya's bank accounts are also being audited to determine if there was a money angle.

As part of the plan, Siya Goyal strategically took around Rs 1 crore from her fiancé Ketan Agarwal for wedding shopping in Udaipur, where she went alone and met Chetan to hand over the money.

Siya stated that she disliked her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, because he was bald, wore a wig, and stammered. On further interrogation, a fresh twist has emerged. Siya Goyal may have killed her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, to get "three years of freedom". As Siya's lover, Chetan Chaudhary, had asked her to wait for at least three years for their marriage. So that he could improve his financial stability.

On Thursday, 25th June, the two murder accused were seated together, face-to-face, and questioned by the police. During the investigation, the two turned against each other, with each blaming the other of masterminding the crime.

The Ketan Agarwal murder case is currently solved and is kept in progress in terms of police investigation and arrests, though the allegations are pending for final trial and court verdicts.

The latest twist in this case, Sahil Goyal claimed on India Today TV that advocate Aashutosh Srivastav directly approached Siya to represent her in court, and in response, the advocate issued a 10-crore defamation notice to Siya’s brother.

Their Family response towards each other:-

Narendra Mittal and Renu Mittal, Siya Goyal's uncle and aunt, who played a pivotal role in arranging her marriage to Ketan Agarwal, are stunned by the crime their niece is accused of. Ketan's father claimed that it was Siya's aunt and uncle who pushed her for the marriage despite knowing about her affair with Chetan. He revealed that they have known the girl's family for 35 years. Vishal Agarwal said neither he nor his son was aware of the relationship. However, Ketan had told his family that Siya’s phone would remain busy for several hours every day. But the family avoided.

At first, Siya acted nicely. She often comes to Ketan’s family. Bring cake several times and try to be fully connected with them. Ketan’s mother revealed that she had told Siya that alcohol is not allowed in their home, yet she used to drink.

On June 21, Ketan Agarwal's father and relatives visited the exact spot of the fall and concluded that the location made an accidental slip highly improbable, according to the FIR. His friends, Navdeep Jindal and Tarun Mittal, accompanied the family to inspect the cliff.

Vishal Devichand Agarwal, on June 23, mentioned that Ketan recently told his family that Siya Goyal had been behaving erratically, throwing tantrums and arguing with him over minor issues.

Siya’s mother, in an interview, said that on a video call, but Ketan’s mother forced Siya to go to Lohagad Fort again with him, as she was too tired; she tried to say no, as the next day also there was a function going to happen, but she had to accept it at last. The family has no issues with her not being well-educated. On social media now, Sahil Goyal is saying Siya wanted to marry Ketan and end the connection with Chetan.

Now Ketan’s and Siya’s mother comes in front of the media to maintain their image in society.

My Perception so far:-

The most shocking news for me is that the body was not found, as someone just pushed him, but the body had many marks as if someone had brutally beaten him. So, the complete truth is still unknown to me as a viewer?

It’s like an onion, layer after layer, something new, layer investigation peeling it off.

As an author, why do I keep feeling there should be some other angle hidden away from the screen, or, like in movies, some third-party involvement? After watching the videos of Ketan and Siya, it’s really hard to convince myself that she has no feelings for Ketan or has someone else in her mind. The Gen Z who belong to well-educated families. Who doesn’t know how to deal with Saiyara Movie-type emotional depth of love vibes? Are they planning and plotting such criminal aesthetics in the flow of love? How?

Maybe Siya is the murderer. Maybe she is also the hidden victim in such a complicated situation. Love is blind, and lover never allows you to think anything else. The viewers are not in her situation, so they can decide whether what she has done is right or wrong. What happened is shocking, but from where did this youth gain the daring to kill someone so easily?

I am not saying feminism here, being a girl, but what’s happening to intellectual families at the time of taking a step towards their boys’ marriage? If she is a beautiful girl, she belongs to your caste. Someone familiar introduced the girl’s family. That will be all? To fix the marriage.

Knowing she was less educated, they fixed the marriage. Why so suddenly? Ketan’s life goals were much higher than marriage. His massive growth in business and through his interest in education, I believe. Ketan’s life goals were much higher than just a marriage. What he actually wants from marriage, a life partner, has now become history, as he never expressed his inner desires to fit into the frame of an obedient child. Don’t you think for a man in such a timeline, 26 years old is also early to marry? He kept telling his family, as an obedient son, Siya is not attached to his vibes. Why is she uncomfortable and distant from him every time? To such deep questions, his family didn’t value. WHY?  Without considering it, why is marriage preparation taken in haste?  Agarwal met Goyal in January, in February, engagement, in November, marriage? Maybe they are not completely unfamiliar? Maybe both families, in the excitement of marriage, don’t notice their children's minute, weird behaviours? We only know what we are listening to right now.

I have heard many murder cases on social media or on news channels. But for the first time, I have seen unexpressed feelings and unlimited dreams looking at Ketan’s picture. That’s why I didn’t stop myself from writing about this incident.

If I am willing to write for Siya. Siya is fond of baking and parting. Siya knows how to give respect to others. She is well-behaved. She knows her boundaries. Family-oriented girl. She has faith, trust, confidence, and purity in her eyes. She wants to enjoy life with an open mind. I, on a personal level, can’t accept that she intentionally murdered Ketan. If money were the issue, she got 1 crore for shopping, and they could run away if she only wanted to marry Chetan? What is the need to kill him? To love someone crazily is different, and attempting murder is totally different without complete hatred or in a defensive scenario. She didn’t know Chetan for so long, so she became so cruel inside? They can’t be in the purity of love, so they talked so much? Maybe she has been blackmailed so horribly that she is unable to speak up? As a struggling girl in today’s world, what kind of lifestyle can a girl be showered with by Ketan himself? So why is she going to choose Chetan? To become a murderer? I think it’s all Chetan’s master mind in how to use a girl’s emotions by projecting a false love. Real boys become silent; they never talk too much with a girl, more than love, they want peace of mind. If a boy talking so much automatically is fishy, it's such a weird reality of the world. Maybe they experienced true love vibes passionately. Which led them to commit such a crime hastily, without understanding its consequences for their future? Or at this age, maybe they were misguided by someone else’s? At such a small age? But can’t understand who thinks about their own life, how they become harsh on others’ lives?

She took 1 crore for shopping, so why did Ketan give such a big amount? Why does no family member go with her shopping? Did she get any credit cards? If Ketan gave 1 crore cash to Siya, fair enough, but why did Ketan ask about shopping bills? Why did Ketan’s family not see the shopping products crazily? The shocking twist in this case keeps me questioning, as a keen neutral viewer.

What actually happened is still a mystery. Well, unless the court can’t decide for me, it remains a mystery.

Conclusion:-

We have several incidents regarding this. The death sentence for such a woman is not the solution anymore. As others’ loss, we can’t retrieve now, what’s painful.

Marriage is not between a boy and a girl; it is between two families. The orthodox statement whose payment every man pays in terms of alimony in this era, and a few souls have gone through heartbroken death. In such families, children never mix up with their families; frankly, one of the biggest issues in both families. Ketan and Siya are both introverted personalities, somehow. In the name of love, if someone is forcing you to commit a crime, the lover is false; you are also just a hidden victim in such a process. Applied to both Siya and Chetan, who made a fool out of each other?

Addressing such sensitive cases is not my cup of tea, but I got tears while writing the conclusion and remembering his face. Life is not a game.

Who killed whom? Not a question anymore. Why are such activities happening? Why have crimes become a part of youth in that age where the older generation can’t decide their career on their own? No self-decision maker millennials were. This youth has no fear left. Has the sense of morality existed or become extinct?

Everyone on Social media creates memes stating that these girls killed their fiancé/ husband for such lovers/personalities. This youth created a fun, on such sensitive and horrifying cases. Have human life values become negligible now? Has love in the name of marriage just become a cash withdrawal stunt from rich families?

It’s very easy to blame girls.  As a matter of fact, no emotional love exists. And why don't such exploited girls understand they faced a trapped love game only? If someone experienced true love, then express it to their families? And if your companion doesn’t allow you to do so and makes you believe the situation is going to be okay soon, please break that fake commitment as soon as possible. But somewhere, societal pressure does not encourage. They self-analyse the upcoming situations. When did the parents of such obedient children understand that marriage is not the solution if taken too hastily?

So, character assassination in our society is just for girls' dignity, why? In this case, no placing or highlighting of Chetan's AI-generated video might indicate he is the killer or mastermind. Why all the hatred for Siya, as she is a girl?

At last, I just want to say, no matter how many articles you read. No matter how many trending social media posts there are, we never understand and recover the loss of Ketan to his family, and neither of us can heal their pain. And if Siya is not guilty, then it’s difficult to understand how she is facing this situation. And if she really did the crime, then have faith in justice. A half-truth is more dangerous than the complete truth.
