In a house where coins are counted twice,
Wisdom whispers sound advice.
"A soft answer turns away wrath," they say,
So patience guides our night and day.
The table is set with love, not gold,
But "better is little with fear of the Lord."
A crust of bread with peace at heart,
Than feasts where quarrels tear apart.
We toil with hands, we dream with soul,
"Idle hands" won't fill the bowl.
Though hunger lingers, hope still grows,
Through honest work, the river flows.
"A merry heart makes a cheerful face,"
Though debts may chase, we find our grace.
For laughter rings in walls so tight,
Turning darkness into light.
The rich have towers built on stone,
Yet "great wealth" can't buy a home.
For where love dwells in humble shade,
No fear of ruin, no joy will fade.
"The Lord hears the prayer of the righteous" here,
A mother's sigh, a father’s tear.
Though worn with worry, worn with strife,
Their faith still lights the path of life.
The market’s weight is harsh to bear,
Yet "better is a dinner of herbs" with care.
For empty plates with hands entwined,
Hold more than gold to those who mind.
"The way of the sluggard is a hedge of thorns,"
But through hard work, the dawn is born.
We stitch, we mend, we sew, we sell,
And rise again when fortunes fell.
"A wise son makes a glad father’s soul,"
So lessons taught will make us whole.
No wealth in pockets, yet wealth in thought,
Through love and wisdom, we are taught.
The world is wide, the streets are cold,
But "great treasure" is not just gold.
A heart content, a mind so free,
Holds riches deep as any sea.
"A righteous man regards his beast,"
So kindness stays through famine’s feast.
For those who lack but choose to give,
Find joy in learning how to live.
"The ear that listens to rebuke will gain,"
Not all is lost in toil and pain.
Through trials dark, through winds so wild,
The storms will shape the strongest child.
"The eyes of the Lord are in every place,"
Watching each tear, each fleeting grace.
Though walls may crack, though shoes may tear,
Our souls still rise, our feet still dare.
We find our joy, we find our song,
Though struggles stay, we march along.
For "a wise man’s heart guides his mouth,"
And keeps his spirit from falling south.
So though the days may stretch us thin,
The light of wisdom glows within.
For "the fear of the Lord is instruction’s way,"
And faith will lead us home someday.
