When God first made man, it was a woman
Messiah of love from haloed heaven

When God first made man, it was a woman
Along came then the radiant light
The beacon to show the path right
Undiminished spirit day and night
But blinding flash, dare to slight

When God first made man, it was a woman
Along came then the benign fire
Warmth of touch, touch to inspire
Heat to ignite, the honest desire
But torching inferno, bring out the ire

When God first made man, it was a woman
Along came then the gentle wind
Breeze to soothe, body and mind
Pleasant zephyr, cooling and kind
But blowing tempest, try being unkind

God first made man, it was a woman
Along came then the sprinkling rain
Genial muzzle, balm on pain
Cheering drizzle, psalm for insane
But deluge of flood, vex to arraign

God first made man, it was a woman
Along came then the bounteous Earth
Bearing good, bad and ugly in her girth
Tending bosom, a safe hearth
But seismic terror, question the strength

When God first made man, it was a woman
A carrier of love from the haloed heaved
