From the depth of heart, welcome to the land of colours, recognised as "India" at the global level. The subcontinent with its ancient name "Bharat" that is also been termed "Hindustan" since the 13th century. Firstly termed by one of the chroniclers of Delhi Sultanate "Minhaj-I-Siraj". He used this term to denote the areas of the Ganga and Yamuna basins. The captivating art, glorious history, and harmonious culture of India never leave any person without stealing his heart.
This is all about our great and beautiful India. But yet there are innumerable dreams twinkling in the hopeful eyes of every Indian. The dreams of a well-developed and prosperous India. With no doubt, India is capturing the heights of success every day. From researching the secrets of the human body, climbing Everest, and exploring the universe. We are in the top positions. But yet our journey is very long. As still, we are lacking in some factors because of some basic things that are abeyance in our development.
So before moving on that how our India should be, we need to know how our India was and how it is and the present time. When we glance through the history of India, we will find that India is having a dynamic history. On one side, we had many great Kings and Emperors as like Samrat Ashoka who understood the importance of humanity when he saw the blood bath of the Kalinga war and then created a prosperous and happy empire of Mauryans. Along with this, our land is also blessed by the great king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who is well renowned as "The king of ryots". But also on the other side, we had suffered the slavery of the Mughals and British for centuries.
Now let's see what are the conditions that we are standing today. Firstly we need to keep in mind some of the facts that can be as follows:
Let's come to how our India should be. How does India look into my dreams? It is well said that Roam was not built in one day and in the same way if you want to build a Dream India then it is not child's play. It requires time and proper planning. Let's go through the things one by one.
Illiteracy has always been a very critical issue for India. It is the root cause of many big problems. The literacy rate of India is just 74.04%, 82.14% for males, and 65.46% for females. While the irony is that the criteria for analysing the literacy of a person are very easy. So in our dream India we need to change this situation. In my dream India I want our school to be so well developed that children will love to come to school and not only the children but also the elder who missed their school due to some reasons will try to get educated once again. There will be 90% practical education and only 10% theoretical. Students will not have to sit in the classrooms. They will learn in the free air.
Now comes why the constitution should be read by everyone. Because learning the constitution will eradicate all the fear from your mind and you will be completely aware that what are your rights, duties, and responsibilities. We all teach the holy books of our religion to our children like Geeta, Quran, Bible, etc. Then why can't we teach them our constitution? As a result, in my dream India, nobody will torture or threaten anyone. While anyone will try to do this, even a child should be able to tell that person that how he will fight with him.
These are the three things that employment, poverty, and opportunities are very interrelated each other. If there is equal opportunity for all then it will be easy to get employment and employment will eradicate poverty in our country. Many genius students miss the opportunity because of poverty as like only a person with good financial conditions can get admission in Medical and IIT colleges. Even in Government Medical Colleges, the fees is in lacks and it is not affordable for all. In my dream India, everyone will get equal opportunities.
This will be the first step towards equality in India.
Now the question comes if we want every Indian to be employed then how it is possible for the huge population of around 1.35 billion people? The answer to this is simple. Until now, we have created followers but now we will be the creators. In my dream India, I want our education system to be so well designed that it will teach students how to create new technologies. Every student will be eager to create something new that is beneficial for the world. And along with it, we will create a business person in them who will sell their products to the world.
India's one of the most naturally enriched countries in the world. India ranks 4th in Asia and 10th in the world in plant biodiversity. I want my dream India to be in the first position in this. The carbon emission in India is continuously rising today. But we want our dream India to be a zero carbon emitter and to attend carbon neutrality. According to the National Forest
Policy, around 33% area of a country should be covered with forest to create ecological balance. Unfortunately, only around 21.71% of India's geographical area is covered under forest. We need to work on this in our dream India.
So now let's discuss the issue that is the core problem of almost every society which is EQUALITY. It is said by some great thinkers that either you can get freedom or can get equality.
But is it really so? Why can't we create a nation with equality and freedom? Yes, our dream India will have freedom as well as equality. So what type of equality do we want in our dream India?
No discrimination on the basis of caste. Eradication of superiority and inferiority complex.
Unfortunately, this caste system is very prevalent in our Indian society. But the main problem arises when a certain community is suppressed or demonised by other communities by seeing that they belong to the so-called caste that is inferior. However, we have made it illegal and have strict punishments in our constitution. But still, this superiority and inferiority complex has not been eradicated from the minds of people. In my dream India, I want this thinking to be completely eradicated and the first step for this can be taken by saying "so-called" before saying the name of any caste. This means that "I don't believe this but society says". With the passage of time, in our dream India, no one will remember who belongs to which caste.
Every gender is equal...
We think that there are just three genders in the world that is male, female, and transgender. But this is not true. There is another gender also which we can know by studying society. But here we will discuss mainly transgender. In our dream India, even transgender will live like a commoner among us. There won't have different colonies of them. They will get equal opportunities. We won't feel strange or awkward while talking to them. They will play with us, eat with us, sleep with us, and will be very happy. They won't feel regret about their gender.
Accept Sologamy, Bisexualness, etc.
In our previous section, I said there are more than three genders. This is what I was talking about. In my dream India, I want people to be so open-minded that they can easily accept the things such as Sologamy, Bisexualness, Live-in-Relationship, etc. There will be nothing strange if a girl marries a girl and a boy marries a boy. With no doubt, we should follow our culture and traditions but we also need to amend those and change with the passage of time.
Don't treat them as weak...
In our nation, women are worshipped. But on the other side, we see that rape cases are continuously increasing. Around every 16 minutes, a girl is being raped in India. I want our dream India to be the most safe place for women in the world. Every woman should feel safe even at 2:00 a.m. on the streets. This can be done by working on the children's mental health. We need to teach them that women should be respected and we do not have any right to harm anyone. We need to work on Domestic Violence and Violence against Women. We need to make our daughters brave enough to fight with anyone. In many workplaces, women are treated as weak. But we need to show them that women are never weak. She is very powerful.
Provide facilities and don't Discriminate...
Menstrual cycle is a common and natural process in every woman and there is nothing wrong with that. But still, society discriminates with them when they are going through their periods. As like don't touch it, don't go there, don't do this, etc. All things are just superstitions but still, we follow them. And this discrimination affects the mentality of a girl very adversely. Specially for teenage girls who just started observing the world. And the main problem is that we cannot provide sanitation facilities to all women. This creates many diseases in them. I want my dream India to provide all these facilities to women and also equality.
Other issues that we need to completely eradicate to make our dream India to be the best...
We will create our dream India, the most harmonious nation. There will be no communal violence at all. Every religion will be respected and no communal clashes will happen.
Regionalism issues will be zero in my dream India. And there will be a peaceful India.
At the last, I want to see my Dream of India as the best Nation in the world. My dream India is a prosperous, the most powerful, eco-friendly, the most happy, the most healthy, and the most safe society. There will be no poverty, no religious issues, no regional issues, no hunger issues, no water crisis, no homelessness, no insecurity, no depression, no anxiety, and no violence at all. Everything will be peaceful, harmonious, and loving. This will be my beautiful and beloved great India.
I hope I will surely see my Dream India very soon.
