We all must be familiar with what is valentine and how it is celebrated and when. An explanation for this is not needed, but I need to write about my views on it. Valentine’s Day is the day of spreading love and showing love. Love cannot be just for a day, we all know that, and we share, give, and take love unlimitedly throughout the year. Love can be expressed in many ways. To make this day sweet and happy, you can share wishes, send or give sweets or gifts, and spend time with them, and so many ways, to your partner, husband, wife, boyfriend, and girlfriends. February 14th is celebrated every year around the world as Valentine’s day, and this is the day for lovers, husband and wife relationships, to spread love and to spend maximum time together and happy.

The main fact about valentines is that it is the festival of candy and cupids not red but dark, and bloody, where it is a little muddily. This name came from a famous saint named St. Valentine, but many of us did not know who he was. People used to tell different stories about him but no one knows the actual one.

Saint Valentine was a famous priest from Rome during the 3rd century, when neither we nor our parents and grandparents were born. During those times, Roman men, after they got married, they were not meant to be soldiers in the war, as they were very lazy to leave their wives and family behind and function attentively for the war, at work. When the ruler decided to ban marriage, it was that time Valentine considered it unfair. He made marriage a hidden rule by breaking the law and getting men who wish to marry secretly. One day he fell in love with the jailor’s daughter, and this was found out by the ruler and other people. For their hidden acts and breaking the law was found, he was punished to be killed on February 14th, and then before his death, he had sent a love letter to her by signing, ‘from your Valentine’. It was from then that February 14th is considered and celebrated as Valentine's day every year all over, for his remembrance.

Importance of Valentine's Day

During the early times, this day was celebrated as women being paired with men by way of lottery. They can either become lovers or they can get married to each other. It was once said that Pope Gelasius 1 took over Saint Valentine after his death and this day February 14th every year is celebrated as the day of romance for lovers. This is the day when men and women share their love for each other and express their love for each other, by spending time together, exchanging gifts or flowers, and showing romance with each other with the promise that they both will be there for each other for the rest of their lives. In the 20th century and the 21st century, it is being regarded that on February 14th everyone should wear red as red is the symbol of love, mostly for the couples who are willing to celebrate this day with each other expressing their love, by coming in the same color dress.

So make the most use of Valentine's by being with them and spending good and quality time with them and express your love in a very happy and sweet way. Never try to hurt them, but only love them with all your heart and mind. Love once broken will always be broken and difficult to repair them.
