As Shakespeare once said, “All the world’s a stage, and all men and women are merely players”.
Indeed, we all are here just to play our parts. The only difference is that our roles vary at different stages of life. At each stage, we have some duties to perform.

In general, duty means moral or legal obligation. It can also refer to a particular task or action that a person is bound to perform. Parents have the duty to love and bring up their children properly, teachers have the duty to guide and impart knowledge to their pupils but what about us, the students, do we have some duties to perform? We do, I basic duty is to live a good and virtuous life. Remember, no student ever attains success by simply doing what is required of him; it is the amount and excellence of what is over an above the required, that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.

We cannot regard studying as our duty rather it is an enviable opportunity to learn and explore, so that we can become good citizens of our nation. Our society has gotten to the point where everybody has a right but nobody has a responsibility. Or I should say, people tend to forget their duties but remember their rights.

As an old saying goes, “When Duty calls, that is when the character counts”.
Our duty is to be useful not according to our desires but according to our powers. It is by the youth and children of today, that the future of society will be determined. We cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end, each one of us must work for our own improvement and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity.

The moment we accept responsibility for everything is the moment we gain the power to change anything.
