An elegiac strain ran past...
On catching a glimpse of changes so fast!
Decades since I'd dropped in last!
No one now lives here...
In these houses, once so dear!

Which, now  has only  traces
Of floors with mosses...
Where white ants  crawl
And cobweb adorns!
An eerie stillness embraces me.
Our lifeless dreary homes!

Reminiscing  vacations ...of our childhood spent,
And retrieving memories of voices innocent...
I stood staring silently @ d broken  walls
As my spirits crumble & fall!

Resonance of bygone  day's peals of laughter
Drifts & flows with d  echoing lyrics of our ceased chatter!
A symphony  of calm breezes  moves
Between  d now  overgrown  trees

Kissing....to dry my wet cheeks,
As a pining nostalgia glistens
Helplessly,  to well my eyes!
Is this too another,  of destiny's vice !?

A picture of it...I dared not shoot...
For...fear of piling my agony's hurt.
Moving  away, wishing  ne'er to return,
With a healthy feel my heart churns!

This place...which spoke of our Family Lineage
Now stands in ruins....beyond one's image!
In the cards ...an inevitable  change
Will dawn as a supportive patronage!

For...it is here to understand...
AN  END  IS  NOT  AN  END
But...the beginning of a new start!

Will certainly  Thank our stars,
In guiding  us make the Future ours'
With no more regrets or loss!

With million  memories
Which would be treasured for centuries!
