As a sum of all such parts
Being before there is thought –
Restless silence asks again
Trace it to where it began.

As the universe unfurled
From the singular conception
Willed itself into a plane
Where it all is as we see.

Questions led to symbols drawn
To decipher cryptic noise
Sighs of a primordial being
Or the hum of burning stars.

Whether in this tangled mess
Ends can ever be undone
Loop into where you came from
Take apart all that makes you.

If there is something to find
In the chasms of the self
Or the void of endless space –
Eyes that stare into themselves.
