India is an amazing country. Despite having diversity in its geographical features, weather, habitat, flora, fauna, history, people, languages, beliefs, traditions, culture, and countless other things, it still demonstrates a sense of unity and oneness.
Let us consider the individual cell of a microorganism (unicellular organism like an Amoeba), it performs all activities of life independently. Likewise, all individual cells of a tissue coordinate to perform a function of the body (digestive, respiratory, reproduction, etc individually and collectively as compounds and isotopes, etc.), and such different tissues perform different functions with perfect coordination to make a multicellular organism independent. The existence of various elements of flora and fauna working with perfection, coordination, interpersonal relationships and consolidation creates an independent ecosystem. Thus all the physical elements (carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc) and all ingredients of unicellular to multicellular organisms ensure perfect coexistence for each other even in different geographical features. Based on these scientific basic facts, knowledge, concepts, etc, the various Indian cultures have been demonstrating unity in diversity and diversity in unity.
Often overlooked by historians and scholars, many prominent facts about ancient India continue to remain a mystery. In fact, several details about the Indus Valley Civilization are yet to be uncovered as present-day scholars and linguists are still struggling to decipher the Indus script, the written language used during the Indus Valley Civilization. Indian scholars also argue that many scientific concepts were explained in ancient Indian texts. These texts, often misunderstood as religious concepts, predate many modern-day discoveries of European scientists. There are several facts from ancient India that are truly amazing. India has given the world so many unique amazing things in the fields of health, mathematics, education, science and technology, astronomy, and almost all walks of life. These facts have been well-established and accepted through archaeological, historical, and other scientific methods.
At present more than 18 million Indians are working almost in all countries of the world. They have been proving their worth in their fields. They are being honored and respected for their intellectual capabilities. In my opinion, the traits of yoga and meditation must have reached them through genes from their forefathers. I am of the view that yoga and meditation have played the most vital and inevitable role in this intellectual inheritance.
Yoga is an ancient art that connects mind and body. It originated in India over 5000 years ago. There are several pieces of evidence to prove that spiritual practice was a way of everyday life for the ancient Indians. When yoga is performed, breath, heartbeat, and blood pressure get increased and the body becomes warmer. More oxygen reaches each and every cell of all the organs which reacts with leftover biochemicals of the cell and are exhaled out and the body gets refreshed and toned up. When various 'asanas' are done, all the internal organs get activated and positioned in the proper place. All the seven chakras (energy centers) in our body run up from the base of the spike all the way up to the crown of the head, which affects our physical reality. When these energy centers are balanced, they spin and allow energy to flow up the spine, or the Kundalini. Besides this, the person will feel emotionally and mentally at his or her best, and they will have their physical body vibrant and vital. This results in enhanced coordination between various organs, and senses with the brain to improve our immunity, manage our emotions, and stress steadily.
Meditation is the simple act of concentrating on the breath that carries the seed of deeper realization, awareness, and clarity, along with many psycho-therapeutic and physiological benefits. Yoga meditation is rooted in concentration or Dharana and is a subjective experience that develops over time. The effort of fixing one’s attention toward a particular object or idea for a period of time can be described as concentration. This effort helps us to train our mind to eventually reach the state where we can connect with our innermost Self in a state of conscious awareness, without being distracted by the constant mental chatter, i.e. the cessation of movements of the mind.
Meditation helps to gain stable conditions in both mind and body. That is why it is executed after a yoga session. Yoga is more holistic than meditation. The end goal is not only mental stability but also physical and spiritual stability. Yoga focuses on both internal and external stability.
I am of the strong belief that when mind and body unite to work in harmony with the activation of the chakras (energy centers), our body becomes 'super sensitive' to nature and all its surrounding natural elements and forces like vibrations, magnetic fields, emitting rays of various types, their intensities and powers, etc. Then through a higher level of concentration, practice, union, and discipline, our mind, and body reach a stage where it directly connects to the ''superpower'' i.e. GOD, and there starts a free flow of 'energy-based communication' ( Divya Vanni or Dhwani) between the two, understanding the problems spontaneously and thereby getting solution/s through visualization, intuitions, dream based indications, predictions and alike. To me, this is the “order of super power” i.e. “attainment of siddhi”. The energy-based communication” concept convinces me because Jain Tirthankar on the attainment of “Kewal Gyan”, in their first preaching to a gathering of people and other creatures (Samavsharan) address without any words or language but their preachings reach all creatures directly to them in their own understandable language. (Divya dhwani ka khirna). This is possible only through the transfer of energy because energy neither be created nor destroyed but can instantly be transferred. It is just like surfing on the web without any transitional loss or communication gap and getting the response of the Supreme Power through “Divine Intelligence” not artificial intelligence. No verbal or linguistic communication is involved. To me, both yoga and meditation are the basis of Energy based communication.
This seems to be true in the case of certain specific preachings of Jainism regarding drinking filtered water, consumption of meals before sunset, following vegetarianism, living and letting live, use of mask, practicing quarantine norms, nonviolence, renunciation (aparigraha), etc. In those days microscopes etc were not invented but those preachings are scientifically proven now as evident from the precautions suggested by almost all scientists and doctors all over the world during Covid times. In those times, the preachers were not able to convince followers with visible facts so they were suggested to follow religious concepts and practices. So many other relevant preachings of Hinduism and Buddhism also have the same concept. In Mahabharat, Sanjay who had excellence (siddhi) to see from distant places, narrated a running commentary of the war field to Dhritarashtra. This might have been possible by making 'super lens' from tears of eyes or due to surface tension and focusing this 'super lens' to see the war field or imaging the war scenes from 'latent sound waves', "thermal images" etc. collectively or individually. Instances of complicated successful surgeries and transplants of embryos and so many amazing facts are included in our epics. Today more than three hundred varieties of mangoes are being produced on one tree by Mr. Haji Kalimullah of Lucknow (India), where the main trunk provides necessary raw materials to the tree but the chlorophyll of leaves plays a vital role to produce so many varieties of mangoes. Even male plants can produce papaya crops through grafting etc. Is it not amazing?
I am of the strong view that with this basic knowledge and practice of yoga with meditation, Indians could have attained such intellectual capabilities/miracles/supremacy/heritage and so many have been mentioned in Vedas, Bhagwad Geeta, Ramayan and Mahabharat and a lot of intellectual heritage is still preserved in ancient temples. I feel personal that this is the main cause for the intellectual supremacy of Indians. The vedic period was the best period in all respects.
India was a very rich country before the Mughals. During their period, temples were looted and destroyed, masjids were raised on them, women were molested and they had to adopt “parda” and 'Sati' systems. They destroyed universities and all other centers of important economic, social and cultural activities. To promote Islamic culture, they started forcing local people to accept Islam. The British replaced the Mughals and widely used a policy of “Divide and Rule” among the Hindus based on caste. With the coming of missionaries, the gurukul model of education was abolished. Slowly and slowly India became a poor country and it was known as a “land of snakes and snake charmers.”
After Independence in 1947 with a partition and unfortunately, the power to govern the country did not reach real freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel and so many others who really sacrificed their life for this freedom. Our leaders have never thought of building the national character of the people after independence. The country has become a mess due to corruption, reservation, appeasement of minorities, distributing free bees to the public and so many other policies framed to ensure earning of votes for political gains. Corrupt politicians have become either traitor or are supporting even our enemies. They neither have respect for the nation nor for the armed forces. They do not hesitate to bring foreign nationals to govern this country. Looking at the importance of Yoga, our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, promoted Yoga internationally just after coming to power in 2014. Since he himself practices yoga and meditation, you see the dramatic impact on India's reputation across the world. Since 2014, there has been a drastic change towards the country's development and reputation, therefore, all corrupts have come together to oppose the policies of national interests.
To regain our glorious past, we must focus immediately on establishing stable peace in the country and move in the direction of a uniform syllabus of education with yoga and meditation preferably based on the old well tested and well-established gurukul system. Let the youth understand, accept and practice it, translate its dreams to reality to become future intellectuals to take our motherland to newer heights involving "sabka sath, sabka vikas & sab ka vishwas".
