“When I close my eyes, I don’t believe what I see,
A familiar light, shining so bright that it blinds me,
It moves towards me, and says something so true,
“Hey Child, why are you so blue”?
The voice echoed all over, it was mesmerizing,
It convinced me to speak up because it was tranquilizing,
“I don’t know why I am telling you this,
It’s been a long time since I have experienced bliss,
The thoughts keep raging, my mind keeps evoking,
All the impressions that shouldn’t be revolving.”

“This humanity keeps letting me down,
First, they put you on a pedestal, and then take it all away,
They give you a crown to keep and cherish,
But then leave you and your feelings to perish.
Hail your courtesy, hail your strength,
But then label it all as ‘give and take’.
I don’t feel I belong, this world took all that was left in me,
To see it all, makes my heart bleed.”

“I watch your every move, I take cognizance of your pain,
But whatever you feel is all in vain,
People don’t think about you the way you do,
And not everyone in this world can be like you.”
“You have to learn to survive with all these kinds of people, Child
That is the only way you can walk a thousand miles,
Detachment is the key to happiness,
And it’s the only way to fulfilment.
This world was created by me, I know it very well,
The thing you are doing is survival, the purpose is to thrive and dwell.
Mark my words, A bright future awaits you,
If you stop thinking what others feel about you.”

Suddenly that light started fading,
My eyes keep fluttering and I start waking up,
An epiphany hits, “that light was familiar”,
“I feel it was God, maybe it was a manifestation,
But whatever it was, it took away all my frustration,
Maybe I need to get out of my desolation,
And realize that the world is a better place without forced
persuasion.”
