Depression is the excessive thought of despair when you feel nothing or everything at once.

Dear Depression,

You are the one the world fears, fears you possessing them, fear to tell others you are always with them, that you never leave their back. But accordingly, have you ever thought it's not a taboo that you've to fight against it alone, from the moment you wake up and all those sleepless nights. You're considered weak when you come out, but have you ever thought you'll be the bravest person, when you open up for this world, if not, at least in your own eyes. I want the world to know that depression is not just a phase. Its something most of the teenager or adults goes throught, at least once in their lifetime. Being in a society when we are judged for every rungs we step on, depression is something every adolescence and adults go through, it's not a thing to be ashamed of, but an opportunity when you can work on yourself.

Statics

Our world around 280 million suffering with worldwide depression. And with the hard times of pandemic, the depression rate has increased over 23 to 25 percent.

The above graph showed that mental disorder exclusively increased by pandemic.

Cause

There are around 6 types of depression.

  • Major Depression.
  • Persistent Depressive Disorder.
  • Bipolar Disorder.
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
  • Psychotic Depression.
  • Peripartum (Postpartum) Depression.
  • Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
  • 'Situational' Depression.

There are hundreds of own reason that causes depression, but some which we are familiar with are as follow

  • Family issues
  • Illness or health issue
  • Medications, drugs, Alcohol
  • Personality
  • Overthinking

And many more...

Most of the people hide their depression, some think it's taboo, some think that depression shows them as weak, and some fear the other person not being able to understand them. But just letting it out, not caring about what others think is the best way for you to free yourself. Free from the thoughts that haunt you. Thought that burden your back, even when you wouldn't get the best advice or whatever the other person thinks. But the best guidance or source is going through the therapy or medications or taking help from the mental health profession (psychiatrist or psychologist) the best advice is to take out the crumpled sheets from your head and fold them.

Talk yourself to others.

Conclusion

With these few guidance , I want to explain the things, that people couldn't explain in years. Never let your thoughts control you, cause you're the only one to control them.
