Are we blind to the waters that no longer gleam,
Where pollution runs rampant in every stream?
Can we breathe without choking on the air,
As our planet's cry turns into a despair?

Do mountains of waste not make us frown,
In our throwaway culture, do we let them drown?
Can we ignore the vanishing forests' plea,
As they vanish for profit, how blind can we be?

With overpopulation, are we taking a chance,
Straining resources, can we truly advance?
In the face of these challenges, can we pretend,
That our planet's survival doesn't depend?

Shouldn't governments and leaders take heed,
To the Earth's call, a dire plea indeed?
Isn't it time for a change in our ways,
To secure a future with brighter days?

So let's ask these questions, let them resound,
In the halls of power, let the truth be found.
For in seeking answers and taking a stand,
We can heal our world, protect our land.
