Sunrises and race begins
A round clock that always spins
Footsteps run hurried and fast
Chasing seconds that are not going to last
Meetings, letters, emails and call on hold
Some stories are left untold
The siping coffee deadline so near
Dreams are postponed to another year
The light hums and senior groans
Silent is my heart-weary bones
In the rush, a fleeting sight
Children laugh and I feel so light
For life’s not meant to just be raced,
But felt, embraced, and deeply traced.
So pause a while, breathe in the day,
Let joy find health in every way
