The Target is no longer a shopping complex; the target now is focused on illegal and undocumented immigrants. There at least 20,407 “undocumented Indians, which could possibly be under President Trump’s direct view, out of which 17,940 “paperless” Indians were under “final removal orders”.

CNBC reported that “as many as 200 undocumented immigrants were on the C-17 military aircraft flying to India, as stated by the Indian Express.

The report as of a few hours ago by BBC reports a US deportation flight “carrying about 100 Indian nationals accused of entering the country illegally has landed the state of Punjab”. Furthermore, President Trump has been assured by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that India would “do what is right” and accept the US deportations.

There are a total of 104 deported Indians on the flight, and they are to undergo a process before leaving for their home states which include Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.

The Indian Express stated that New Delhi had agreed to take in undocumented migrants as long as they were proven to be Indian nationals. Trump has used military aircrafts to ensure deportation of the illegal migrants along with commercial flights. The military aircrafts, however, has gained popularity after the president of Columbia “refused to let one land in his country on 26th January”. Trump’s response to Columbia’s refusal was a 25 percent tariff on all Columbian goods. And on Saturday, Trump declared 25 percent tariffs on Canada and Mexico due to his illegal migrant stance and the flow of drugs across the border. And then on Sunday, deals were made to put the tariffs on pause for the duration of 30 days.

As a grave provision of Trump’s executive orders signed on his first day in office, his “anti-immigration” stance was set in motion and had declared a national emergency along with his national emergency for energy.

Although the Biden administration had allowed for parole if there were legal troubles with their immigration status, Trump has disallowed this permission, and said that they could be deported as well.

Along with his illegal immigration plight, Trump had also signed an executive order to put an end to birthright citizenship if the parents did not have a legal status. This fundamental right was done away with, as it strictly goes against the 14th amendment of the US constitution. It is provisioned that a child born in the country “will only be granted US citizenship if at least one parent is a US citizen, a green card holder or a member of the US military” stated NDTV in the publication of a fact-checking article to review the target of the citizenship order.

On Monday, a collection of House Republicans proceeded with citations from case laws of the 1600s to defend President Trump’s executive order regarding birthright citizenship. “The brief from 18-25 Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee, which was filed in a Federal court in Washington state, comes in response to a lawsuit filed by four Democratic state attorneys general challenging Trump’s executive order.

This succession of executive orders from Trump remains stringent and raises multiple questions regarding his upcoming term. Laws and provisions that had been continuous for decades have succumbed to sudden transitions and abrupt policies adhering to stale directorial of the president re-elect, Donald Trump. The US’s bilateral relations are now subject to strict adherence to these policies as seen in the immediate responses from Canada and Mexico to the economic tariffs. As well as Columbia’s yield to take in deported migrants after the same tariffs were imposed on their goods, India’s silence on the deportation policy of undocumented and illegal migrants was also evident.
