A little girl I knew;
A beautiful smile she held;
A beautiful heart she had;
Little did she know,
A beautiful flower she was.
Deep in the woods, I see;
A vast field of flowers.
How beautiful it looks;
To see her bloom;
Surrounded by thousands of dandelions,
Yet she holds a beauty of her own.
A little girl I knew;
A hopeful smile she held;
Hopeful eyes she had:
Little did she know,
A ray of hope she was.
She's got a warmth for the sunsets;
Even when the represent the end;
For her,
It's just the magic of the wait;
Everything that ended in a day;
Is followed by a beautiful beginning.
A little girl I knew;
When a little frustration she held,
A crinkled nose she had.
Little did she know,
A free bird she was.
She'd roam around irrational;
Rather care about the thoughts of others;
She'd stretch her arms out;
In an aim to reach to the stars above;
She'd stare at them, wishing for the wings;
That could teach her to fly.
A little girl I knew;
She kept her chin a little higher;
While looking at the moon,
Little did she know,
How mesmerizing she looked.
She'd always ask,
While gazing out the window of the car
"Why is the moon following us?"
Only if I had the nerve to tell her;
To put the reality infront of her,
That it's not the moon that follows.
