I am overthinking,
And forgetting to live in the present.
Is it that important,
To overthink everything?
I always overthink,
Why did that happen?
Why did this happen?,
And in the process,_
I forget to enjoy what’s happening now,_
Or even to notice what’s happening around me
Sometimes, we just can’t change what has already happened.
It’s in the past,
Completely gone
We can’t go back and fix it.
It’s already done and dusted.
All we can do is take care of the present
But why am I not realizing this?
Even though I’m aware of it,
I still can’t bring myself to break this habit,
This habit of constant thinking.
Thinking can be helpful.
But too much of anything is good for nothing,
And overthinking is no exception.
Of course, thinking can improve things.
By thinking, we can plan
We can act wisely,
And we can make better decisions.
But overthinking shouldn't stop us,
From enjoying what we do.
Thinking should guide us,
Not drain us.
It should uplift us,
Do not depress us.
Think and do is a popular phrase,
But what I prefer is:
Think,
Think about doing a task in a better way,
In a more joyful way.
Life is meant to be lived.
We’re not robots,
Programmed to follow a fixed schedule.
We are human.
We should think to make life more meaningful,
More enjoyable.
Thinking is a positive thing.
Don’t turn it into a negative.
Use it wisely,
Stay positive,
And shine bright.
