(June 7, 2023; 9.55pm; After going to a mall)

A very bright scenario that just lits up the mood of thousands of people. Dashing yellow and white lights just make the place heartfully beautiful enough to attract eyes. Stairs that actually walks, takes one to their desired floor. They ascend and descend making the humans as the only living beings flying in some magical carpet.

It’s the ensemble of piano keys, that dance in delight for people to walk in. Ofcourse, I mean the stores that are lined up like an ensemble. Cold it was inside, that it felt so good to be during the burning sun.

Malls have their own way of luring people!

“Malls are closed entertainment sections for people to waltz!”

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE!

(Before 12.00 pm in mall)

“Arriving earlier, it’s a prison!”

Maybe I arrived a bit early that day. The gates had just been opened, when I got there by 10.35. After carefully probing my bag, my soul entered into the vast space.

A straight passageway lead to a circular space, with three floors soaring into skies, which ofcourse couldn’t be compared to the great Pantheon with well built oculus. Everything were lit by artificial lighting, too bright that it almost made me suffocating sometimes.

Every floor had a number of prisons in a configuration. Most of them were opened but some of them were closed. Unfortunately, the closed ones were famous, captured as photos by security guards for not being opened at the appropriate time. Small and fancy stores looked lifeless without any customers or people in it. There were also prisons that were not been opened to customers yet. With no sense of natural lighting, too bright and deserted it looked blinding my eyes and soul.

“Without people, stores are just building boxes!”

Sitting at one place, I could watch different people waltzing. An enthusiastic lady who walked like a Miss universe while having her coffee casually, a loafer with his ear pods almost having the appearance of a thug, a Indian girl with a backpack, a man strolling with his suitcase as if he had just got off from his express flight, and I could go on like this forever. People who came were just too preoccupied with their own predicaments.

People who really laughed, people who pulled a cranky smile, people who looked dead serious with their family and also people who just strolled around the game section. People easily fawned around the game centre, for the money to be exposed carelessly.

THIS DIFFERENCE!

“A noticing difference, that even a rookie can identify!”

Home is a place where warm and peacefulness are abundant. Every little thing can be an aspect for spreading warmth. Not just people, but the environment itself a like am igloo under the cold snowfall.

Shops in malls have similar lightning, with only their setting, appearance, environment differing. Flashy as they are with expensive lights and decoratives, they look completely unwelcome even with an appealing appearance. A vast space that diminishes into a vacant space ultimately. Expensive cost prices that totally make it just a showroom to visit without any actual purchase.

This image has totally beautiful decorative lamps and hangings. All flashy atmosphere sets an environment of expensive and aloof perspective.

As far as my eye could wander, most of the shops were elusive in a warm place. A warm feeling that never appeared!

Some boxes that were quite creative and beautiful, ended up to be the ones with less or almost no customers! Wherever my eyes met, it almost felt that those decorations hanging alone waiting for customers to look at and please them. But then the space just felt so lonely with no customers visiting that aloof place yet with a beautiful touch to it.

A shop that looks so magical but lacks the feelings of exuberant.

A place that easily captures one’s eye yet still wanders with such loneliness….

A place that is meant to get more visitors but stays as a mysterious wonderland!

WHAT’s YOUR IMPRESSION?

“At times, only your decision matters!”

A dark, cold world that never meant to give me happiness. A bright, sunny world that never meant to give me sadness…

My perspective about malls changed drastically depending on the people I went with. That’s why, it’s not the place that matters, but the people who you are with! There are both sadness and happiness, but who gives you what only you can decide, and not the place to blame.

Yes, A place once which was a prison eventually turned into a wonderland with a slight change of factors…..

Only ‘YOU’ can decide whether the place is to blame or not if you ever feel detached or depressed after going….!
