Population control
India, once a land of dreams unfurled,
Now stands as number one in population growth,
A dangerous signal, a flag unfurled,
A chilling reality from years of betroth.
For ages, the government pondered and thought,
How could the population be controlled?
But plans faltered, poorly implemented, we're caught,
And wrong procedures left actions on hold.
No punishment for those who violate,
As the planning went astray.
Rapidly, the numbers escalated,
Growing unchecked day by day.
The government must plan before it grows,
But fail to realize the truth it shows,
Not only women, but men are involved,
Muslims, Christians, all entwined,
Condoms and pills, ignored and dissolved,
In this shameful act, we find.
If men were aware and accepted their part,
Acknowledging their role in population's sway,
The growth could be curtailed, before it could start,
Taking measures to protect, come what may.
Instead of blaming women, if men stepped in,
Embracing responsibility and taking their stance,
The burden lessened, a victory to win,
A better future for our beloved land.
If husbands, compulsorily, took measures with pride,
The population could be kept in control,
"One couple, one child," a solution worldwide,
A suitable approach, reaching our goal.
India, let's unite, with wisdom and care,
Recognizing the impact we have on our nation,
Together we can tread a path that's fair,
Ensuring a prosperous and balanced population.
