Lying on the grass on a full moon night,
Several stars surrounded me, waiting for me to show my love.
But my eyes stared only at that moon,
Which was silent, empty, and above
Suddenly a falling star came and said,
"Thousands of stars like me are falling for you.
And you're waiting for that stained moon,
Who doesn't even think of you?"
The falling star doesn't know about my crazy love.
I come to this place every night To find solace from the burning noon!
Not to see the million stars falling for me,
But only to see and fall for my empty moon!
Lying beneath the shining stars,
Lying beneath the gleaming moon,
I remember, wise men say,
"Night heals every wound of the burning noon!"
I used to lay down on the grass,
Every night, beside a palm tree.
I used to look at my moon and
My moon used to look at me.
Twinkling stars knew about my story.
The full moon witnessed my gladness.
Some of the stars smirked at my foolish deeds,
While some laughed at my madness!
What I forgot was that in life,
Nothing is permanent, not even my happiness and laughter...
Just like life, in my tale,
There was no such thing as happily ever after...
Lying on the grass, what I saw pierced my heart!
One night, my eyes witnessed a painful sight!
The moon I proudly called mine
was seen with another star, shining bright!
Sometimes we can't decide,
Who is wrong, and who's the right one!
The moon had many stars.
I had none!
Lying on the grass, I wept like a child.
Today, I lost the one who I thought was my dear...
The stained moon glanced at me from above.
And then ignored me like I exist nowhere...
That ignorance of the moon
was a clear sign.
That the one I loved
Wasn't mine..
After crying oceans of tears,
I realised that the falling star was right.
Unlike the moon, the star fell for me.
Despite being at a great height.
The falling star, who loved me,
Fell for me from the sky above...
You may name it the underrated character of my sad tale.
But I would call it a sign of true love!
I lay there in utter silence beneath the shining stars,
Underneath the gleaming moon...
Liars are those who say,
"Night heals every wound of the burning noon!"
Destiny laughed at my situation. Time slapped at my face.
That sad, gloomy night tightly consoled and hugged me.
Today I lost both—the one I loved
And the one who loved me...
