Now as soon as we hear this word, thousands of questions flood in our heads as to what actually is morality. What are the morals which every one of us should abide by? Now as I am about to expound my opinions on morality, it won't be inappropriate to say that morals are nothing but the fundamental values, which are applied to a given situation in order to draw a line between right and wrong. But is it merely this and nothing more? Of course not! The scope of morality is much wider than this. It includes honesty, integrity, and of course, much beyond that!
On honesty, it deals with how trustworthy you can be regarding something or certain issues. On moral integrity, it deals with the ethical notion and moral values of a person.
Often, we people tend to forget that these values or virtues mirror an individual's overall demeanor! Isn't it?
Needless to mention that people look forward to individuals with good morals, companies do not hire immoral beings! But this realisation isn't falling upon today's generation as I don't think that they are quite conscious about being morally and ethically correct as the earlier ones! Don't get me wrong but morality is not defined by the number of degrees you've or the amount of assets you possess! The amount of respect you show towards your elders, the manner in which you speak, and the way you treat others determines morality!
In my opinion, morality is nothing but simply the human attempt to differentiate between right and wrong! And I firmly believe this.
And I believe the fact that Your morals should prevent you from cheating, from betraying as well as from lying. I think if you are engaging yourself in even one of these activities, you're actually doing an evil act which is absolutely immoral, isn't it?
When you act or speak against your morals, you begin to experience guilt and shame. Don't you? You've a blameworthy outlook at your activities and you begin to feel more embarrassed about yourself!
I would just like to end this speech by saying that Adhering to your moral standards and just sticking to your moral values assists you live a life you're proud of!
