Gratitude is an emotion to express thankfulness, or gratefulness, being thankful, is a feeling of appreciation felt, a positive response shown by the recipient of kindness, gifts, help, favors, or other types of generosity, towards the giver of such gifts.

We should make it our character to express Thanks as soon as someone does us a favour. Thank You is a magical word, it brings about a smile and a momentary transformation in a person.

Pray and pay your gratitude to God every day.

All creations of God express gratitude.

A tree laden with flowers and fruits bows it's branches in gratitude, the more it blooms the more it bends down, and even if people throw stones on it to get fruits from it's branches it still waves itself in gratitude.

Once a pigeon was flying from a desert area, sees an Eagle lying in the sand and feels sorry for it and stops by it to ask if he could help.

The Eagle: I am not well. Where are you going?

Pigeon: I am going to meet An Angel.

Eagle: Will you please ask the Angel for how long I have to suffer like this, I am so weak, I have lost my feathers, I am unable to eat.

Pigeon; Ok. Will ask and inform you on my way back.

After a couple of days, the Pigeon returns and says," I asked the Angel about your condition. He says next three years you have to be like this, however, if you keep uttering "Thank You God" all the time, you can be cured much before that. Depends on you, how you pay your gratitude"

This time the Pigeon had managed to get some food for Eagle so he didn't have to starve or try hard to find food.

The Eagle followed the Angel's advice and started uttering Thank You God for everything, if the desert sand became hot he would say "Thank You God". When he felt thirsty there was no water around, he would say "Thank You God", when he could drink water, he would say "Thank You God", When he felt hungry there was no food around, he would say "Thank You God", when he got some food, he would say " Thank You God" when no bird came to meet him, he would say "Thank You God".

It so happened he found himself muttering Thank You God the whole day, for everything, slowly his feathers started appearing back, his eyesight improved, he could fly a little and hunt for the food.

After about 15 days the Pigeon was flying from that side and thought of stopping by the Eagle and he was surprised to see The Eagle dancing and singing "Thank You God".

He was happy to see feathers back on the Eagle, and said, "I am happy to see you friend, due to your attitude of Gratitude, your three years of punishment was reduced. Please don't stop uttering gratitude to God".

Animals no matter if they are wild or house pets, understand the language of love, and how we treat them and they in turn are grateful for our kindness and express by licking and hugging.

Gratitude is constantly shown by animals to their owners.

Cats, Dogs, Cows, Buffaloes, Horses, Deer, Squirrels, Elephants, Swans, Dolphins, Hamsters, and many other domestic animals show and return affection when it is given to them.

Similarly, we as humans have to take lessons from the Trees, Birds, and Animals.

Even if we have a headache remember God and say Thank You God, and observe headaches vanish. Say your prayers which ever God you believe in.

In any condition, keep expressing your gratitude to your family, friends, colleagues, employees, neighbours, just keep muttering "Thank You God".

Gratitude cannot be requested, or demanded, it can only be given. Gratitude is a virtue because we chose to celebrate.

The Roman philosopher Cicero declared: "Gratitude is not only the greatest of the virtues but the parent of all others."

We as Humans should also have the attitude of Gratitude.
