I wake up in the morning
With sweat, annoyed
Fans have given up
And air conditioning
Still drills a hole in my pocket
I wash my body with cool water
Taking time in each step
In pouring it over me
In using the soap
Cleaning my nail corners
Shampooing my hair
But always,
Using the cool of water
To play and splatter
I think of pending homeworks
the dishes piling up in the sink
Also, the texts and calls I have to revert Demanding my attention
I miss them on purpose sometimes Not everyone is like summer baths Fresh and lovely
I continue to swim in my thoughts Thinking of the ice-cream recipe,I watched Then I think of what happened last summer When everyone was home
How we played with water and ice cubes They put ice cube in my clothes
While I was snoring!
I smile at these thoughts
I play with the lather
And act like a girl from the advertisements It is funny!
So I start giggling
Still being careful about the noise! As I use the last mug of water on my body My marathon to the fan begins
Ignoring the towel stage
I put on clothes,
The oldest one from my collection And always plan to put them in the fridge Fifteen minutes before, the next time And I sit under the fan
With my hair open
From where water keeps on dripping On my neck and back,
I love how it trickles,
Tickling like a lover
