While we do not mind repeating the same dresses,
We love wearing a superhero cape for our people if someone messes.
While we loved to get dressed and groomed,
“Oh! How feminine,” the society assumed.
While we go to the wedding only for a plate full of food,
But we cannot sip a single drop of water when falsely accused.
While this deep cut in the heart remains like a permanent wound,
‘Men don’t cry!” Is the way we are tuned

Do not take our blank expression for a lack of emotion.
We are selfless, though we talk less.
Do not expect us to always act tough,
For even we have phases that are rough.
I was a boy when I was taught to respect girls.
But I became a man when I realized that it should be given to the one who deserves.
Please do not confine men by the masculinity border,
Let us all cudgel our brains to think even broader

I had a friend when we were in grade six.
I used to pull her hair teasingly and it wasn’t such a fix.
Today, I smiled at a girl at work, her eyes started to seep,
She complained to the Human Resources, saying I am a creep!
We understand- No means no!
But we want you to understand- Not all men!
We try each day to be the change,
But you start to back off when you misread our affability to be an offence.

Not all men are crooks that hurt.
There are men that also get hurt,
There are men who give a shoulder to the hurt,
There are men who fight for the hurt!
Not all men are offenders!
There are many loving friends, responsible brothers,
There are many exceptional lovers and admirable fathers.
Please believe there are nice people wearing knickers and
trousers.

When we try to crack a joke,
We seem like wrong doers.
When we are serious about being chefs, designers, and teachers,
We become the joke!
“Men can do whatever they want to”
“Men can be however they like to”-be a myth.
“Men are judged by the color they like, the way they walk, the clothes they wear.
Men are scared- scared of being scorned, of the defamations, of the misleading woman cards- This sadly is the truth!

We are petrified when we come across pseudo-feminism.
We are disconsolately being blamed for the fading patriarchism.
We are tormented seeing people believing the misandrist lies.
This is where the wise humanity defeatedly sighs!
We believe in the notion of equity.
We presume that it brings tranquility.
Even if you judge, mock or force, this is the story of a Man,
And he can only do what he can!
