There is a saying,

“The warrior who is impelled by love is a far greater warrior than one who is driven by anger.”

A long time ago, a warrior was injured on the battlefield witnessing his last breath. Weeping in deep pain. The blood was consistently flowing through his wounded arm. The arrows penetrated deep inside his chest. He was as hell tired as he had ever been. Slowly-slowly a shallow darkness was about to spread over his eyes. The crazy chaos began to turn into a monotonous silence. And some random glimpse of a girl initiated to dwell in his vision. He was remembering the last meeting with her.

Two months ago, after fighting a war for the Snuka dynasty, Ivanka realized that he killed people for nothing. He is just a murderer, who killed people just for the sake of the king's grace. He begins to regret his did and decision to become a warrior. He was suffering from a nervous breakdown. Guilt filled him like darkness in the night. At last, he decides to go back to his village.

The village was situated on the slope of Vazu Hill. Circumference with greenery, wavering slopes, zigzag ways, and a peaceful lifestyle. He saw, his house was dilapidated, due to a lack of care. The ceiling of the house was destroyed. The broken window's glass was scattered on the land. It seemed as if it was at its final stage.

Ivanka was the only person left in his family. A year ago, after his mother's death, he never turned his face toward his home. Even though his fear and guilt took him back to his home. He opened the door and took his first step on the layer of dust, which was staying there in his absence. The corners of the room were occupied by spider webs. Everything was scattered like weathering leaves. Ivanka remembered his childhood. Slowly he began to fall into old memories. But unexpectedly, he heard a scream from outside. As soon as he turned back, he saw a beautiful girl wearing a blue full Gaon, a bun on the back of her head, standing in with aggression on her face and holding a stick on her left arm.

Ivanka's eyes glimpse as if he remembered that broken star passed from his sky millions of years ago. The girl's blazing eyes were constantly staring at Ivanka's face. He hardly spoke a word, "Hi, Suzume."

The silent lips yelled, "How dare you?" He stepped toward her and smiled. Suzume holds the grip tightly on the stick. And raise the stick before him to warn 'Don't dare to come close'. He held the end and asked her, "How are you?"

She pulled the stick forcefully and moved out from there. Ivanka understands that she is upset. And he has to do something. He moved back to her and she declared without turning back, "Don't be an over-smart, warrior. The princess is no longer interested in your vulgar innocence."

He stopped and asked her, "Do you know I am no more a warrior?" She realized she had missed something crucial in her outrage. She turned back and saw a pair of eyes in deep pain. She left the stick and stood before her. Ivanka holds her right hand - to calm down and provide a sense of relief. He said, "I am back. To relive my life."

She just blinked her eyes as she agreed to hand over the whole empire for the sake of a drop of cure. She tightened her grip on his palm in a sense of new hope and took him back to the house.

The whole day passed in cleaning, vanishing, and throwing out old residential (i.e. insects) from the house, and coughing due to the thick layer of dust.

On the eve, they both sat beside each other on the corner of the slope, facing towards the reddish sun and colourful sky. Suzume asked Ivanka, "What happened?"

His eyes were glazing the sky and his heart was about to unlock the deep secret. He said, "There was a tragic day. We defeated our mighty enemy. While returning to the palace I witnessed a girl crying in front of her house, in deep grief, without caring about others' opinions - swallowed eyes, uncombed hair, coatings of tears occupied on her chicks, and in between she mumbled some name. Her faint green colour dress no longer cares about the dirt holding from the floor. I inquired about her to a fellow man. He told me that her lover was part of the enemy's brigade. He died on the battlefield. Due to this, she was in deep astonishment." He took a deep breath and continued, "I don't know why but I felt as if I was her culprit. Because I brutally killed every damn enemy."

She holds his hand to console him. She said, " You haven't done anything wrong. You are a warrior. A warrior is someone, who lives for his king and citizen of the kingdom. And whatever you did was just your duty."

He replied, "I saw you in the place of that girl."

She tightened her grip on his hand and said, " I will never cry on your sacrifice. I will be the one who will be honoured that I loved a true warrior."

He smiled and asked, " How did you know I came back?"

"I have spies all over the Shuka dynasty," she said and winked.

"Hey! Suzume, I am no longer a warrior. Even though you love me?" He asked.

She said, "I like it when you live here with me, but I would love it when you make the right decision and save the lives of others. True love never be fettered with selfishness."

He asked, "Should I return?"

She replied, "Unless it came from depth." They both smiled and looked mesmerizing sky. A slow flow of breeze creates a romantic environment. Birds were flown back to their home.

One morning Ivanka realized that he was just living the same day every coming day and he would live as usual on other days too. The mornings were beautiful, no doubt, but he loved to spend adventurous sunrises. Somewhere he felt boredom in the day and emptiness between stars in the night. He realized that he no longer belonged to a normal life. At last, he decided to be a warrior once again. While he was busy packing his stuff Suzume entered the room. She saw him and stood beside the entrance as a statue. As he realized she was here likewise he said, "Suzume, I have decided to move to my real place. My vacation is over now..." He spoke continuously but She was numb and staring at him. Just like everything became vague. After a minute, he stood before her and tightly hugged her. Her uncontrollable tears pour out of her eyes. She engulfs her arm around his body. He felt her numb sobbing, but he didn't utter a word. The time stopped for both of them as the earth forgot to rotate for some seconds.

She said hoarsely, "Whatever happens, you will be back for me. Promise me." He kissed her forehead and assured her, "I promise."

She said, "I will wait for you." He murmured 'yes' and closed his eyes." Ivanka opened his eyes and saw that he was in the soldiers' medical tent. His hands were tied with a long bandage encrypted with herbs. A thick cotton cloth was tied around his chest. A fume of medicines spread in the air.

A man entered the room and said, "Hello! Warrior..." Ivanka turned his face and looked towards him. He was his senior. Ivanka smiled back and barely he did utter a word, "Promise kept..."
