Incidents do occur frequently and infrequently
But some – selective ones – remain in the collective memory.

We fly like birds in the air
Happy that dust cannot play with our hair
Mammoth distances are traversed in and during a flight
Aircrafts fly in the skies, killing meteoric height:

Of late, we have all become busy fliers
As if trains are relics, with seats in tiers –
Flying to n’ fro, like birds flocking together
We, as passengers, brave many an evil weather.
With an alarm by our side, we arise and awake,
In order not to miss a flight
As if travelling’s become a chore like cutting of a cake,
Aircraft personnel cater to our whims with all their might.

But few incidents do occur that we read in papers
Mere reading cannot mitigate the harrowing experience
A few hours – entire tenure of a flight – is a modicum of life in tapers,
We smile and we laugh, at reports that excel media’s brilliance.

Sitting and locked in an aircraft loo is a novel way
Of aircraft navigational operations, what say?
The man must’ve dreamt a thousand dreams
The locks of the loo malfunctioned, it seems
An outer worldly encounter – does anyone know what it means?
That an adult can be confined in a novel way by apolitical deans.
John Lennon’s Imagine is a song of yesteryear
Its relevance and appropriateness change with times dear
Think of becoming cooped up in a toilet of a plane
It’s a way of no-communication – enough to go insane!

An entire journey while locked inside a loo,
Is something to trouble minds of me and you too.

Think, think and think about his awkwardness
God forbid! No one must face such a situation’s sadness.
