I was a rich businessman
long long ago
Living a life with
lot of friends & lot of foe
Heading towards India
in a sea voyage
with lot of ego
pride and rage
A gusty wave suddenly,
shattered the ship in a blink
Before my eyes
the whole ship did sink
Everyone on the ship died
& I was the only survivour
Flapping my hands and legs
I asked god for a favour
God came and said
"I will save you little bub
But you have to tell me
What is Love? "
I said" I do not have the answer
but I have the money
Take away all my guineas
But don't try to be funny"
God smiled at me
and soon faded
With gloom & fear
my mind was shaded
Out of rage, I shouted
But no one was there to listen
The ocean was so deep
portraying the heart of a woman
I saw a couple of albatross
Sitting on a plank
It was three hours
after the ship sank
The male albatross was injured
and was not able to fly
The female was not leaving the board
But I didn't understand why?
The plank was too small
and had place for only two
I was in a dilemma
I didn't know what to do?
But soon I decided & pushed
the injured into the deadly sea
She went to the edge, sat down
& leaned her neck to see
I sat on the board
and rested for hours
I realised that money is nothing
when compared to nature's powers
Soon a rescue team found me
after the sun lost its shine
I decided happily to take her with me
so that, she will be mine
I was about to take her up
but she was dead
On her face, the pain of separation
could easily be read
Her death put a full stop
to my laugh
Her dead eyes were still opened
searching for her better-half
The money in my pocket seemed meaningless
which I collected from people's hub
It can buy anything
But not the real love
I got the answer to god's question
which is truly rare
Love - in real sense is
" Selfless Care "
Saving one life,
I killed the two
Not even thought, what mistake
I was going to do
In my conscience, a guilt
started to arise
And she faded with the plank
before my eyes...
